finger (n.)手指
thumb (拇指) index finger (食指) middle finger (中指) 
ring finger (無名指) little finger/pinkie (小指)

give someone the finger (phr.)對…比中指
* Giving someone the finger is generally not illegal. However, you could face minor charges for raising your middle finger to a police officer.

work one’s finger to the bone (phr.)拼命幹活
* I worked my fingers to the bone so you children could have everything you needed. 

cross my fingers (phr.)祝好運
* I didn’t get a ticket this year, cross my fingers. (今年都沒有收到罰單算我好運)
* I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. (為你祝福)

can’t put my finger on it (phr.)不太確定…，說不上來
* A: I heard Anna just got laid off, is it true? 
B: well, I can’t quite put my finger on it.
* A: Don’t you agree with what I said?
B: It’s not you’re wrong, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
